Just after the launch of Apple’s new MacBook Pro range, the company has reduced the pricing on storage upgrades on existing Mac models.
Before the price drop a 512GB upgrade would cost between $300 and $400 on Apple’s entry level machines, the price has now been reduced to between $200 and $300.
Apple has also dropped the price of 1TB storage upgrades, for example on the Mac Pro this used to cost between $800 and $900 and it now costs between $600 to $700.
So it looks like Apple has cut between $100 and $300 off the price of the storage upgrade on a range of Macs depending on the model.
