Now when India is flocking towards mobile wallets and using app-based taxi services more and more, Ola cabs is making the in-car experience more personalised with a new feature named 'Ola Play'. The service brings advanced in-car controls, choice of personalised content and an interactive experience to the rider.

The service will first be available on Ola Prime cabs in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi for select customers. It will arrive on over 50,000 vehicles in other cities by March 2017.

The platform will bring a connected in-car experience, a global first, by getting an interactive platform over to Ola's Prime Cabs through Ola's proprietary in-car cloud services and in partnership with Qualcomm.

The 'Ola Play' service will also allow riders to connect to Apple Music, Sony LIV, Audio Compass, Fynd and more subscription-based services. As of now, Mahinda and Mahindra have partnered up with Ola to integrate the technology into its vehicles.

The service will transfer the control of the in-car experience to users from the dashboard, so that the rider can __play their own content on large screen devices mounted in the car, along with the car's surround sound systems. 'Ola Play' will use contextual awareness of customer preferences and current ride information like time and destination to offer personalised recommendations to the rider.

“The entire Ola team is proud to launch Ola Play, the world’s first connected car platform for ridesharing. I believe this will completely transform the consumer’s ride experience, giving the user the power to control the interactions within the car and usher in a new era in the ridesharing industry. With over 60 million minutes spent in Ola rides every day, the impact on consumer comfort, convenience, and productivity can be transformative. This will further propel ride-sharing as the first choice of mobility for many more millions,”
