If you thought the new Nokia phone will have a lacklustre performance in the market, get this. Reportedly, in just 24 hours there have been over 250,000 registrations to buy the Nokia 6 in China. The phone will be sold in a flash sale in China on 19th January exclusively on JD.com and yesterday the site had opened the window for registration.

Reported by Playful Droid, the huge number of registration is a solid sign of Nokia staging a big comeback as well as an indication that loyalists have not forgotten the once-omnipotent phone maker.

However, the Nokia 6 is nothing less than ordinary. It is a mid-range phone with nothing extra to offer amidst the myriads of the other mid-range phones in the market. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM with a 5.5-inch full HD display and 2.5D Gorilla Glass on top. There is 64GB of storage on offer and is powered by a 3,000mAh battery. It also runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

As for the camera, the Nokia 6 sports a f/2.0 16-megapixel shooter with PDAF and dual-tone flash on the rear and a 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture on the front. Dolby Atmos technology is used to belt out loud and clear sound using dual amplifiers.

It is available in China for CNY 1699 (roughly Rs 16,750). HMD Global, the company which has acquired the exclusive licence to manufacture phones under the Nokia banner will once again launch more Android Phones on February 26th, as indicated by a teaser poster.
