Around four minutes into the footage, the new generation of robot - dubbed Handle - can be seen spinning around, jumping over an obstacle and dropping off a kerb all while maintaining its balance.
It was unveiled in a presentation by the founder of tech firm Boston Dynamics, Marc Raibert, at the Abundance360 conference in Los Angeles earlier this week.
In his presentation, Mr Raibert said he was revealing for the first time "what I think will be a nightmare-inducing robot", which is much more efficient than the company's familiar legged robots and is capable of carrying a reasonably heavy load.
He added that it has a dynamic system that balances itself all the time. The video begins with the company's dog-shaped robot, which is able to pick itself up after it falls over.
Boston Dynamics is a subsidiary of Google's parent company, Alphabet.
Last year, it released a video of its humanoid robot Atlas being pushed over by a human before getting back up.
