We have heard various rumors about the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus and now according to a recent report by the Wall Street Journal, Apple may replace the Lightning Port on the new iPhone 8 with USB C.
To be honest this does not sound like the sort of thing Apple would do, their Lightning port is exclusive to them and it would be strange for them to drop it in favor of the now industry standard USB Type C.
Apple are expected to give their new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus handsets a major new design, the devices are rumored to come with a stainless steel chassis and a glass back.
There will apparently be three models in the range, a 4.7 inch iPhone 8 with an LCD display, and two 5.5 inch iPhone 8 Plus handsets, one with an LCD display, the other with an OLED display.
We are not sure about how accurate this report is that Apple may replace their Lightning port on the iPhone with USB Type C.
