Apple has announced that its macOS Sierra software will now be automatically downloaded to compatible Macs.
This will happen for all Macs which have the auto update downloads enabled and that are compatible with the update.
The update will not be installed automatically, instead it will be downloaded in the background, ready to be installed when you want to update.
If you don’t want to update to the latest version of macOS then you will need to turn off the auto update downloads feature. If the update has already downloaded to your Mac then it can be easily deleted.
Apple’s macOS Sierra comes with a wide range of new features, this is the first version of Apple’s desktop software that has their voice activated assistant Siri built in and it works pretty well on the Mac.
