Moto India has put up a live YouTube video feed of the Moto G5 launch event which will go live at the above mentioned time. Those interested can go here and watch the event.

The Moto G5 is the younger sibling of the Moto G5 Plus which was launched in India back in March. The smartphone comes with a 5-inch full HD display protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with Adreno 505 as its graphics rendering unit. This is backed by RAM and onboard storage variants of 2GB/3GB and 16GB/32GB respectively. Users can also expand the memory further by using a microSD card slot for up to 256GB.

Coming to the optics, the Moto G5 comes with a 13-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Along with the basic set of connectivity features, the Moto G5 has a nano dual-SIM card slot in a hybrid configuration. The front mounted fingerprint sensor has also got a design change and now covers more real estate so that it can be used as a trackpad ditching the on-screen navigation buttons.
A 2,800 mAh battery powers the Moto G5 which also supports Fast charging.
