Microsoft has announced that it will be offering some new versions of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus in its retails stores, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Microsoft Edition and S8 Plus Microsoft Edition.
These new Microsoft Edition versions of the Samsung Galaxy S8 don’t come with Microsoft Windows 10, the handsets come with Android.
Today Microsoft and Samsung continue their partnership to help businesses harness the power of mobility by featuring the best business productivity apps and software. Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Microsoft Edition are available to pre-order now and for purchase beginning April 21 at U.S. Microsoft Store locations.
A Microsoft customization is applied to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Microsoft Edition when the devices are unboxed and connected to Wi-Fi. This customization ensures customers a best-in-class productivity experience with Microsoft applications such as Office, OneDrive, Cortana, Outlook and more.
These new Microsoft Edition versions of the Samsung Galaxy S8 will come bundled with some Microsoft apps, although all versions of the S8 come with some basic apps from Microsoft.
The standard S8 handsets come with the basic office apps and these new Microsoft Edition smartphones come with Cortana, Bing, OneNote, Skype, Excel, OneDrive and some more apps.
